Kazarma Lake Resort & Spa *****

Hotel Kazarma Lake Resort & Spa *****

Reception and welcome Reception is just so beautiful and amazing. The whole resort looks so cool, like a ranch.
Welcome drink No.
Free upgrade Asked and they told that the next best room is Presidential Suite and it´s already booked. But told that if they would have had a better room, they would have given it to us. 🙂
Valet and parking Nope.
Concierge Yes, and good, because otherwise you would get lost in the hotel, it has so many levels etc.

Sparkling wine Nope, it would have been nice though, to this hotel it would have suited.
Hot meal Yes.
In general The breakfast lounge is gorgeous, so beautiful. Loved everything about it. Service was very nice too.

The room

In general Well, the rooms are very beautiful and the view from the rooms is spectacular. But there is something that is off. Kind of spooky. Junior suite was very comfortable.
Room type Superior Deluxe Double:http://www.kazarma.gr/en/accommodation.html

Junior Suite:

Surprise in the room No.

Blanket and the blanket case Yes and yes, the bed was so very comfortable and cozy.
Carped No, a small one.
Amenities and bathroom Yes, the basic ones.
Shower curtain? No, there was nothing that would prevent the water from dripping to the floor.
Are the TV speakers in the bathroom too? Nope.
Bath salt and bath No, but there was a bath.
Slippers and robe Yes.
Free WI-FI Yes.
Air conditioning Yes.

Hotel area (spa, dinner etc)

I loved the hotel in general, though there were some minuses: the hotel area was filled with bees, flies and all sorts of bugs and their corpses (kind of a strong word for a fly´s one). But I can imagine why, because there were so many flies and bugs in general and it is kind of in a forest, the hotel I mean. The most awful thing was when I went to the bathroom and there was a gecko looking at me from the mirror. The poor thing was up in the ceiling next to the lamp. I was so scared so I had to take a shower while my sister was watching the gecko, so it wouldn’t attack and eat me… 🙂 Yes, I´m that scared of these kinds of things! But the hotel is in the nature, so of course there are bugs and stuff like that.I also read that when you want to use the fireplace, you have to pay extra. That is not good, also coffee in the room is not free of charge as well. Hmm..

And, I didn´t like the pool area, the water was too cold and it all looked so tired. There is maximum number of people that can go to Jacuzzi together, the number is 3. The water in the pool was freezing too. I think we were by the pool only for about 10 minutes. That´s sad. They should do something about that.

What I loved? Firstly the service is amazing, they are all so nice and sweet. I loved the restaurant, the interior itself is so beautiful and the food, you have no idea how good the food was. When you get there, please order meat skewers, I´ve never had that good meat skewers in my life!

And of course, I loved the whole idea and concept of that hotel, very beautiful!

Location                     By the lake, you can´t walk anywhere, it´s too far from town, the lake etc.

I visited                      29-30th of June 2014.

Would I go again?      Yes, but I would take the Junior Suite, it was a bit cozier.

Value of money          100 euros per room, so not that cheap. Though the experience itself was worth it.

Purpose of the trip      Drive through and vacation.

Nights                         1 night.

Luxury 7 out of 10, hated the bugs and the mess they made, also spa area wasn´t that good. So I wouldn´t spend my vacation there. I would spend 2 nights.
Drive through 9 out of 10, only thing that made it uncomfortable was the gecko. But it´s not hotels fault.

  3. 100 euro a night seems pretty fair to me (especiall when cosidering you were granted a Junior Suite). I do not really get why hotels always have that cold pools. It’s just not comfortable to chill and relax there…
