Finally we got to the place we could spend seven days sunbathing and eating and of course drinking some champagne! We stayed in Zadar, Croatia. We wanted to stay in Budva or Dubrovnik, but we didn´t find any great hotels there. See here about the dilemma:
Our choices were:
1. Hotel Damianii ****
I really love that hotel, can you see the rooms?? They are amazing! At least they look like they are. Why we didn´t choose this? Well, it looks kind of a small hotel, like very small. Especially the pool area, there seem to be only a few places to sunbathe and there isn’t much room to walk around. Besides that, it was supposed to be really far away from the centre. Has anyone been there? What is it like?
And the most important question, do they serve sparkling wine at breakfast?
2. Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik *****
The building itself looked so cool and old-fashioned. Reminded me of Kempinski Palace Portorož. The rooms look dated though, don´t like that. I think it´s OK to spend a night there, but a week’s vacation? Is it that luxury? Also, it didn´t have an outdoor pool.
3. Royal Princess Hotel *****
Again, the rooms look so dated, or may-be it´s just me?
4. Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Dubrovnik Sun Gardens *****
We almost chose that, but what we didn’t like was the pool area. It wasn’t just inviting. Falkensteiner´s pool area looked so much more luxury.
5. Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel *****
I don’t like the concrete everywhere. Has anyone been, what do you think?
6. Rixos Libertas Dubrovnik *****
Again the same think as above. But this is a hotel we like a lot too.
So we chose the following:
So the whole seven days we just sunbathed, swam and did nothing more. Also read a lot of books too. There isn´t anything interesting to say about the seven days. 🙂
