Reception and welcome Reception is on the 64th floor and wow, the view is just unbelievable! Welcome and reception was amazing. The people were so nice and friendly.
Welcome drink Yes, they immediately asked whether we would like something, they had done the check-in themselves, so we were just appointed to our room.
Free upgrade Asked and wasn´t offered.
Valet and parking As you have probably read, we took a taxi. 🙂
Concierge Yes and very professional.

Sparkling wine No, but this is China, they don´t drink that much, at least wines and sparkling wines.
Hot meal Yes and what a meal!!
In general Breakfast was I think on the 78-9th floor and the variety, wow, I have never seen that great breakfast, just amazing, just choose whatever you want, they have everything!

The room

In general Again, wow! You cannot believe your eyes, our room was on the 65th floor and it was amazing! Very clean and luxury. The ceiling is really high and there is this nice hallway before the front door, also there is this make-up room/space and closet before the bathroom. I love the room!!!There was everything, relaxing corner, the desk for working etc. The china in the room was so beautiful, really wanted to take it home, I should have asked how much it was.
Room type Executive room:
Surprise in the room With the turndown service they brought cookies and fruits. 🙂 There were even gas masks in the cupboard, which was a bit funny. 🙂 Lots of complimentary water too.
iPhone dock Yes.
Blanket and the blanket case Yes and yes, the bed was so comfortable.
Carped Yes.
Amenities and bathroom Yes, quite nice ones too. Bathroom was really nice, the shower and the WC were separated from one another. There was a TV in the mirror, so you could watch TV from the bath.
Shower curtain? No.
Are the TV speakers in the bathroom too? Yes.
Bath salt and bath Yes and yes. Unfortunately I didn´t have time to take a bath, we always went up to the spa.
Slippers and robe Yes and yes.
Free WI-FI Yes!
Air conditioning Yes.

Hotel area (spa, dinner etc.)

The whole feeling in the hotel was so relaxing and ambient. I felt so good and relaxed there. The reception was so nice, there were bagels and coffee in front, so you could take something in the mornings and there were also these small bags you could take bagels with you and the coffee too. So cute!

On the 79th floor there were saunas, a whirlpool tub and a large swimming pool, the water in the large swimming pool was a bit too cold for me but the whirlpool was just so hot and nice. And what a view! You could see everything from there. So we were just relaxing in the pool with the view to the Forbidden City. There is also this relaxing room there, which was so cool, there were these beds which you could just set to the right view to the city and relax.

There is also this cool lounge on the 80th floor, which is really popular. Of course, we spent some nights there too! Service was just spectacular! The whole hotel is just so amazing, I´d go back there in a second.

Location                     In the World Trade Centre, Beijing, amazing location.

I visited                      August 2013.

Would I go again?      Yes, yes, yes!!!!

Value of money          For that hotel, very reasonable. I think it was about over 300 a night.

Purpose of the trip      Vacation.

Nights                         2 or 3 nights.

Luxury 10 out of 10!!!!
Drive through 10 out of 10!!!!

  1. My relatives were always talking about how nice China’s hotels are. I didn’t believe them because it sounded so exaggerated, but now I do… O.O
