Today I’ll tell you about another ski trip, which was taken in Kitzbühel. It’s a ski resort in Austria, Tyrol.
Together with the pistes and ski lifts in neighbouring Kirchberg in Tirol, Jochberg and by the Thurn Pass Kitzbühel is one of the largest ski regions in Austria. With around 10,000 hotel and guest house beds, Kitzbühel and its neighbours have an unusually high density of guest accommodation.
Kitzbühel has 56 cableway and lift facilities and 168 kilometres of slopes available to them, as well as 40 kilometres of groomed cross-country skiing tracks. Of note is the relatively new 3S Cable Car, the cable car with the highest above-ground span in the world.
The pistes were actually quite good, but everything rest, I don’t know. I have no idea whether we were in a bad time there, but there were no people at all and all the fun we always have in Ischgl, we definitely didn’t have in Kitzbühel. The resort didn’t really impress me.
The saddest part is that I only got to stay there for only two days. Why? I had to defence my thesis in the university and I had no opportunity to just not to go there. Fortunately I passed it and I finished my Masters! 🙂 Well, right after the defence I had a flight to Munchen, where my brother and his friend picked me up and my vacation could start! But it didn’t go that smoothly with me, the next morning I woke up I felt so sick, may-be it was from the big relief of finishing my Master’s or may-be my organism wasn’t used to relaxing and food? But there I was, just lying in bed and felt so sick, also everything hurt too. But! I did not let this get in the way of my vacation, so I pulled myself together and I went skiing with the others.
Fortunately the next day I felt better, so I got to ski a lot. Unfortunately that was it for my skiing vacation, because we had to leave on the third day, we had to because the driving to Estonia takes about 27 hours and my sister’s kid’s school started on Monday, we had no choice. At least it was really fun vacation as long it lasted.
Now about the hotel, we stayed at is Q! Hotel Maria Theresia ****

My pictures now:
The place looks really nice, I love the decor of the room! I’m kind of surprised that they do not offer a pool. All hotels I visited in Kitzbuhel so far had a pool as well as a huge sauna area, so that’s really surprising to me, especially because everything else looks great!
