In general:    The food was good, but the weird thing is that coffee was not free of charge, everything else was, including sparkling wine. The area was not that beautiful, but outside was nice.

The room

In general:   The rooms were beautiful, new and up to date. I especially loved the Crocus Resort room, amazing! Very big and roomy, the balcony was big and nice, the bath tub was in the room with the view to the vineyard. Superior room was quite nice too, without balcony. You could smell the freshness in the rooms.

Hotel area (spa, dinner etc)

Hotel is very nice, the service and the people are amazing! We had wine tasting with 3-course dinner for a great price, the service was so good and professional. The food was great as well.

There was a spa area too, which was beautiful, big pool and saunas, big yard with sunbathing area.

Location:                     Just in the center, next to the wine avenue.

I visited:                      July 2016.

Would I go again?      Definitely would.

Value of money:          Great, the rooms and dinner are worth much more, than we paid. 🙂

Purpose of the trip:      Vacation.

Rating

Luxury:    9 out of 10, it would be 10, if there was concierge and valet service and if the reception area would be more luxury + the afternoon service.
Drive through:    10 out of 10.

The village the hotel is located at is called Villany. Wikipedia says: Villány is a town in Baranya county, Hungary that is famous for its wine. Residents are Magyars, with minority of Serbs.

There is this really cool wine route as well, lots of nice restaurants and vineries through the street, it was so nice and cosy. I searched the Internet and discovered this:

The wines of the Villány Wine Region are considered to be wines both of excellent quality and of commercial success by experts and consumers and the Hungarian wine market.

The first full origin protection system of Hungary was developed out here. The Villány-Siklós Wine Route is the first stronghold of Hungarian wine tourism. The strongest attraction of the region is wine.

This is taken from this website: https://villanyiborvidek.hu/en/villany-wine-region

And, if you are thinking whether to go to Tokaj or to Villany, then Tokaj has this really sweet wine, which I don’t like and Villany has a bit dryer, which was actually really nice. 🙂

Try this. I loved this village. So some pictures of the village:

So now the general pictures of the hotel:
