Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg *****

Hotel Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg *****

General

Reception and welcome:    Reception quite nice. Welcome was amazing, the staff was very friendly and nice. We especially were found of Gérard, who was looking after us all the time.

Welcome drink:    Water.

Free upgrade:    Yes, we asked for the room my sister was in the last time, which is on the 6th floor with two balconies and with a view to the street. Unfortunately they did  not have it for the first night, but Gérard was making sure that we will get it the next day.

Valet and parking:    Yes and yes.

Concierge:    Yes, I also have to mention their professionalism, they were always looking after us, always getting us taxis and making sure we knew where we were heading. Also, when we changed the rooms, then they told that just leave everything in one room and they will make sure that our things are in our new room, when we get back to the hotel. Which they did, it was really nice of them. Changing the room was like a piece of cake, it did not bother us at all, it was made really smooth for us. 🙂

Breakfast

Sparkling wine:    Nope.

Hot meal:   Yes.

In general:    The variety was not that good, but the food was nice. One morning we mixed up the time of the breakfast, so we got there too late, but the staff were so kind and friendly, that they made an exception for us and got us breakfast at the lounge. It was very nice of them!

The room

In general:   The rooms are great!!! First we had one room with the view to the courtyard, but we asked a room at the 6th floor, which was with the view to the street. Rooms are very modern, extremely comfortable, the bed is so soft, that it just screams that come to bed. By the way all Sofitel hotels have these amazing beds.

Room type:    I don´t remember the type of room we had – http://www.sofitel-paris-lefaubourg.com/en/accommodation/

Surprise in the room:    Complimentary water only.

iPhone dock:    Yes.

Blanket and the blanket case:    Yes and yes.

Carped:    Yes.

Amenities and bathroom:   Very good amenities, everything was provided.

Shower curtain?    Nice walk-in shower and separate bath.

Are the TV speakers in the bathroom too?    I don´t remember.

Bath salt and bath:    No and yes.

Slippers and robe:   Yes and yes.

Free WI-FI:    Yes.

Air conditioning:    Yes.

Afternoon service:  Yes, extremely professional and nice afternoon service.

Hotel area (spa, dinner etc)

We loved the hotel a lot! But we did not have dinner at the hotel. Actually there are some places I´d recommend in Paris:

Buddha bar – right across the street, nice sushi and even night life – http://www.buddhabar.com/en/

La Terrasse Kléber – the terrace on the ground floor at the Peninsula hotel, I loved it, especially when the weather was sunny and nice. It is a bit expensive, but totally worth it, near the Arc de Triumphe – http://paris.peninsula.com/en/fine-dining/la-terrasse-kleber-outdoor-restaurant

L´Oiseau Blanc Rooftop Restaurant – rooftop bar at the Peninsula hotel, again a bit expensive, but such a beautiful view and when the weather is nice, definitely sit outside and enjoy life – http://paris.peninsula.com/en/fine-dining/loiseau-blanc-rooftop-restaurant

Raphael Terrace – is at the top of Hotel Raphael, it was always closed when we wanted to go there, I hope to get there the next time, it is next to hotel Peninsula – http://www.leshotelsbaverez.com/fr/raphael/

Les Ombres – this restaurant is amazing, the view is just spectacular, directly to the Eiffel Tower, definitely go there – http://www.lesombres-restaurant.com/

Monsieur Bleu – near the Eiffel Tower, really great place to have lunch, there are also some parties in the evening there, at the terrace, really enjoyed the place – https://monsieurbleu.com/

Restaurant Jouvence – great food and Parisian atmosphere, also great wine – http://www.jouvence.paris/

I´m happily waiting for your comments on those places and may-be you have something else, that you would definitely recommend to visit? 🙂

Location:   Great location!! Few steps from the Place de la Concorde, also it is near the the Grand Palais. The street where the hotel is, is guarded from both sides, so the street is extremely safe. I enjoyed that a lot.

I visited:                      July 2017.

Would I go again?      Definitely.

Value of money:          Good.

Purpose of the trip:      Vacation.

Nights:                         3 nights.
