(I hope I’ll remember to link the other towns later too)
Sorry, I cannot find this song from my Soundcloud, so you’ll only give the Youtube link (our signature song from this vacation):
So till Vienna it had just been lots of driving and eating. 🙂
As every year, we had lunch in Vienna, Hofburg Place. There is this one cafe we always go to, it’s called Hofburg Cafe (http://www.cafe-hofburg.at/en/). We like our cakes and of course our champagne there. It is situated in this really nice and quiet square, so definitely worth going there.
About the Hofburg Palace – taken from Wikipedia. 🙂
Hofburg Palace is the former imperial palace in the centre of Vienna, Austria. Part of the palace forms the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria. Built in the 13th century and expanded in the centuries since, the palace has housed some of the most powerful people in European and Austrian history, including monarchs of the Habsburg dynasty, rulers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was the principal imperial winter residence, as Schönbrunn Palace was their summer residence.
We were about to start leaving, when my sister remembered that when she and her boyfriend were there, they went to this really cool and nice cafe, which is called Cafe Sacher Vienna (https://www.sacher.com/en/original-sacher-cake/sacher-cafe-en/cafe-sacher-wien-2/), I recommend that when you like sweets and cakes, it’s especially famous for it’s Original Sacher-Torte. The place was quite beautiful too, so definitely worth visiting. 🙂
And of course they have their own hotel as well, which we decided to stay at the next time we come to Vienna. So when you’re looking for a hotel in Vienna, then please choose Hotel Sacher Wien ***** (https://www.sacher.com/hotel-sacher-wien/), it is just amazing!
This was it about Vienna, we had to move on to Maribor to get to Portorož for the right time. 🙂
